As a corporate startup of ÖBB, it is our mission to make the diversity of mobility easily accessible throughout Austria. With the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform and the "wegfinder" app, both developed and operated by us, we connect users and stakeholders of the ecosystem. With "wegfinder" you can plan your journey, compare and combine various mobility options, and book public transportation, sharing services, as well as other forms of mobility, directly within the app.

As part of one of our cross-functional development teams, you will be involved in the design and development of our platform. Your particular focus is on ensuring the quality of our products and elevating the QA processes. We expect that you have a high standard for the quality of your work and develop enthusiasm for wegfinder.

Your Task

  • Mentor and guide the QA team to ensure effective performance and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with the Product Owners on release schedules and handle the release preparations and communications.
  • Manage app store releases and compliance updates.
  • Provide necessary tools and streamline processes for efficient QA operations and ensure that the testing environments emulate the production conditions accurately.
  • Govern and evolve QA processes, ensuring alignment with overall IT strategy.
  • Define and maintain QA related KPIs to identify and implement improvements.
  • Monitor the performance of our mobility transport integrations in day-to-day operations.
  • Promote the active participation of the QA team members in their cross-functional delivery team.
  • Lead field testing activities focusing on user-centric issue identification and resolution.

Your Profile

  • Proven track record in software testing, with specific experience in manual testing of mobile applications (Android & iOS).
  • Proficient in various testing patterns, including both code-based and no-code testing automation techniques.
  • Deep understanding of common software release processes and IT architectural patterns.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with developers and testers alike.
  • Strive to address the root causes of issues and viewing quality holistically, rather than merely focusing on assigned tasks.
  • Forward-thinking, with a keen ability to identify and seize opportunities for process improvements.
  • Our tools:
    • Android and iOS native applications
    • Tricentis Test Management, Charles Proxy
    • Jira, Confluence, Slack

Our Offer

  • We work "hybrid," meaning partially in the office and partially from home.
  • Our modern office is conveniently located (S-Bahn, U1, Hauptbahnhof, 13A, D).
  • You will receive a smartphone and notebook (MacBook) for both work and personal use.
  • Monthly €50 mobility budget for private use in the wegfinder app.
  • Best coffee in barista quality.
  • Very pleasant working atmosphere in an international team.
  • For this full-time position (38.5 hours per week), the monthly minimum salary, as per the collective agreement (travel agency), is established at €2.082,- gross (14x annually). Don't worry, your actual salary will be individually agreed based on your qualifications and experience.
